So Much Going On
It's been a whirlwind time since I arrived in Brussels. All good things though. Our last class trip was last weekend and it was a quite boring one. We went to the fabulous small country of Luxembourg and then traveled to Maastricht and stopped in Leuven on the way home. Not a whole lot of fun and excitement except for the high-schoolish rumor mills that have begun to form - good times there.
This week I had 2 dinners for TPN and had a great time at both (picked up another business card to send my resume to someone :-)). Loving the internship. I will be helping out at the office of a member of the European Parliament for a bit, but I hope to quickly get back to TPN because they are just quite amazing.
This weekend I stayed in Brussels to have some down time. Brussels is such a great city. Thursday night a bunch of us went bowling, then we went to the movies on Friday night. Saturday was a fun/interesting day. I went to the military museum and saw a special exhibit on Hoover, then wandered into downtown (of course making a stop at my favorite chocolate shop - Mary's). Had a pretty chill and very enjoyable day - great company was key :-D. Lots of personal things going on, but I guess it wouldn't be my life if there wasn't something going on to complicate things.
Our fall break begins on Friday after our midterm (ick!). I head off to Lisbon, Madrid and Rome for 11 days! I'm soooo excited. But before I leave there is lots of work to be done with studying and papers and the like. Work before play as always.
I'm sure I will have tons to say when I return from fall break - until then...
