Living Life to the Fullest

I've made it to my senior year of college and am ready to take on the real world, but first I have some exploring to do.

Constantly on the go!

I feel like I haven't stopped moving since I got to Brussels! It's insanity - but in the best kind of way.

This past week was our first real class trip. We left on Wednesday night and returned on Sunday evening. That's a whole lot of class bonding. Our first stop was Strassbourg for some educational EU fun. We had a LONG walking tour of the city and visited the Council of Europe and the European Parliament. Beautiful city but super expensive and more so - not a whole lot to do. So... to make our own fun we played some lively games of charades ala wine. Good times, great laughs and tons of new inside jokes. Our next city was Trier. FINALLY a german speaking place! For the first time since I got to Brussels I didn't feel dazed and confused. Trier was a fun and inexpensive city, which in my book makes it a real winner. On our way home from Trier we stopped in a small town in Belgium. Our options there were hiking, kayaking or mountainbiking. For some crazy reason or another I chose to go mountian biking. I guess when I think mountain biking I simply think riding a mountain bike; however, this was the real deal. Needless to say I turned around right before it would've gotten ugly :-D. Instead I played mini golf on the most ghetto mini-golf course I have ever seen. The putting green was concrete - need I say more; however, it was a great (and clean) time.

We had our first test the night before our class trip. Isn't study abroad supposed to be all play no work? Not here. That test kicked my butt and i STUDIED! Test #2 is tomorrow on European Economics. Not so excited and even less ready.

Tomorrow night/afternoon I leave for Dublin. I'm super excited. To top it off a great friend of mine is meeting us there. Many a good times are ahead!

Well that's enough procrastinating for one night. Time to study and pack. Til next time...
